SUMMERFIELD — Mrs. Mamie Maurine Wray Huff, 96, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Friday June 29, 2012, at Countryside Manor.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday July 2, 2012 at Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Evon Pulliam officiating.

A native of Guilford County, Mrs. Huff was born on August 18, 1915. to Thomas P. and Flossie B. Wray. She was a member of Flat Rock United Methodist Church and was retired from Guilford County School system with 25 years of service. Mamie loved tending to her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren preparing Saturday lunch for her entire family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J. Van Huff 1998 and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving is her son, Tommy Huff and wife Cynthia of Stokesdale, three grandchildren Josef Huff and wife Traci, Chandra White and Husband Russell and Jordan Huff. Nine Great-Grandchildren Joshua, Connor, Alyson, Colson Huff, Matthew, Marina, Caleb, Dustin and Dylan White.

The family will receive friends this evening Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel, Stokesdale NC and other times at the home of her son Tommy and Cynthia Huff.
