
STOKESDALE Karen Sparks Flannery, 56, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Beacon Place.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel with Rev. Gene Lawhorne officiating.
A Guilford County native, Karen was born on December 30, 1955, the daughter of Binford and Annie Lee Friddle Sparks. For the past several years she was a cook at P&M Restaurant and was formerly employed by the Family Diner. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her father Binford 'Bunk' Sparks of Stokesdale; son Bryon Sparks of Lexington and Allen Duggins and his wife, Amy, of Reidsville; sister Suzanne Sparks of Summerfield; and four grandchildren Cassidy Duggins, Leah Duggins, Michael Sparks and Mason Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother William Darrell Sparks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the memorial service from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
