
GREENSBORO- Mrs. Juanita Abbott, 84, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at Moses Cone Hospital. She was loving to all and loved by all.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel by the Rev. Bill Smith and the Rev. Gabe Galdo. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Mrs. Abbott was born on Aug. 18, 1921, in Augusta Co., Va., the daughter of Gooch Vaughn Gladwell and Lowretta Armentrout Gladwell.
She was a member of Westside Chapel since 1970.
Mrs. Abbott was predeceased by first husband, Louis Blair Riddick, who was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in WW II, second husband, Robert Thomas Abbott, who died in 1968, brothers, G.V. Gladwell and Elwood Gladwell and sister Adeline Winfree.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Riddick Smith of Greensboro; sons, Louis Riddick and wife Gail of Mine Hill, N.J., and Robert Abbott and wife Donna of Montville, N.J.; brother Charles Gladwell and wife Billie of Greensboro; eight grandchildren, Bill Smith of Charlotte, Dawn Remsburg of Randleman, Bob Smith of Mocksville, Scott Riddick of New Jersey, Steven Riddick of California, Tammy Horan of New Jersey, Robert Abbott of New Jersey and Donald Abbott of New Jersey; 14 great-grandchildren, Emily and Caleb Smith of Charlotte, Caroline and Elizabeth Remsburg of Randleman, Ashlyn, Hannah and Robert Brunstetter of Mocksville, Mary Katherine, Elizabeth, Hannah and Adeline Horan of New Jersey and Angelina, Ava Rose and Robert Abbott IV of New Jersey.
