GIBSONVILLE — Joyce Hubbard Capps, age 68, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of 39 years to William "Bill" Junior Capps who survives.
Joyce retired after 35 years with McLeod Belting and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Gibsonville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed growing things and being outdoors. Joyce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" J. Capps of the home; sons, Robert Sword and wife, Lisa of Snow Camp, Mark Capps of Bunn, North Carolina, David Capps and wife, Yvonne of Manassas, Virginia, Ray Capps of Salem, Virginia and Joey Capps and wife, Trish of Roanoke, Virginia; daughters, Donna Smith and husband, Greg of Richlands, Virginia, Leslie Davenport and husband, Jeff of Gibsonville and Misty Thomas of Spartanburg, South Carolina; grandsons, Cody Davenport and Zachary Honaker and other special grandchildren; a great granddaughter, Makenna Honaker; sister, Rosa Cox and husband, Martin of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Orvel Hubbard and Anna Ruth Ball Hubbard and her brothers, Claude and Buford Hubbard.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
