OAK RIDGE — Mr. Joshua Lee 'Josh' Parrish, 26, passed away on Sunday evening, December 9, 2012.
Josh's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, at Oak Level Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A Guilford County native, Josh was born on January 13, 1986, the son of Roy Lee and Terri Hodges Parrish. He was employed by Neal Logging Company, a member of Oak Level Baptist Church, and a graduate of Oak Level Baptist Academy. Josh was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a big-hearted man who loved life and animals.
Surviving are his parents Roy and Terri Parrish of Oak Ridge, brothers Jacob Parrish and his wife, Jennifer, of Summerfield, Justin Parrish and his fiancee' Amanda, of Stokesdale; grandmother Linda Hodges of Summerfield, a special niece Jaci Parrish, his fiancee' Amelia Oakley of Danbury; and several aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William A. Parrish and Perry William Hodges.
The family will receive friends this evening, Wednesday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel and other times at his parents' home.
