KERNERSVILLE — Joseph Gordon Crouch, 76, went home to be with his Lord December 8, 2012.

Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Smith Grove Baptist Church in Colfax with Pastor Chuck Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.

A native of Rockingham County, Gordon was the son of the late Lena Susan James and Malphus Herman Crouch. He was a US Air Force Veteran and served his country proudly. He was a longtime member of Smith Grove Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Usher, and was a help for any activity at the church for a number of years. He volunteered at both the Shepherd's Center and the Senior Enrichment Center.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Beasley Crouch and a brother Howard Ronnie Crouch.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Temples Crouch of the home; sons Keith Crouch of High Point, and Kevin Crouch and Michelle of Greensboro; grandchildren Mikayla, Kaden, Brennan, and Lachlan; sister Elizabeth Amos of Pfafftown; step-granddaughter Jennifer Elliott; step-son Wayne Temples and step-daughter Sheila Seagrove; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday night at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
