GREENSBORO — Mr. Joe Bobby Barley, 84, passed away Friday morning, February 22, 2013 at Wesley Long Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at George Brothers Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 with Reverend Max Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Mr. Barley was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Barley; brothers: Babe, Bunk, and Ulysse Barley; sister, Doris Ellis; wife, Lorraine Clara Barley; son, Bangle Lee Barley.
Surviving Mr. Barley are his daughter, Bonnie Barley Taylor (Bobby) of Greensboro, NC.; son, Joe Steve Barley (Gwen) of Austinville, VA.; brothers, Ossie Barley (Brenda); Ralph Barley (Lynn); both from Greensboro, NC and Tody Barley (Gilda) of Gibsonville, NC; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon at George Brothers Funeral Service, and at other times at the daughter's home at 263 Willowlake Rd.
