REIDSVILLE — Mrs. Joan Arline Moorthamer, 75 of Reidsville died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service for Mrs. Moorthamer will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Forbis & Dick Guilford Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Mrs. Moorthamer, a native of Queens, NY, relocated to this area from West Islip, Long Island.
She was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan. Joan had a great love for Bingo which she played every week. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Frederick Moorthamer.
Surviving are her daughter Linda Hicks and husband Rich; son Steven Moorthamer; grandsons Tom, Michael and Matt Polese.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
