
GREENSBORO — Jeannine Carr Thompson (Lombardo), 86, departed for heaven on Monday, December 3, 2012 in the loving arms of her family.
Jeannine was born in Lexington, Kentucky on August 28, 1926. She loved to dance, write music, buy, and sell antiques. Her career began as a young stewardess for Pan Am Airline; she was a model, a Real Estate agent and a homemaker. She opened a book store and one of the first consignment stores (The Mustard Seed) in Greensboro.
Jeannine always thought of others more than herself and making other people happy was her first priority. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev. Warren Carr and Eugene Carr. Jeannine is survived by six children, Joseph of Deerfield Beach, FL, Stephen of Coca Beach, FL, Michael of the home, David and wife JoAnne of Browns Summit, Thomas of Melbourne, FL, and Carol and Patty of Greensboro; grandchildren (Joss, Scott, Tony, Tyler, Lisa, and Stephen); and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
