JULIAN Hildegard Stickel peacefully passed away on the evening of March 12th, 2013.
A private service will be held.
Hilde was born in Schesien, Germany on November 14, 1920, the daughter of Richard and Marta Schnabel. She immigrated to America with her parents when she was five years old and settled in Northern New Jersey. She married Fritz Stickel on January 19, 1941 and raised two children, Marlene and Fred, in Cliffside Park. In the 70's Hilde and Fritz moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida to be near their son and his new wife. After Fritz's death in 1982 Hilde continued with her life, her beloved 4-legged companions, children, and four grandchildren. Between the years of 1992 and 1995 all three families moved to Greensboro, NC. Hilde lived, at different times, with her son and his family and, later, her daughter and her family.
In heaven, Hilde's enjoying the antics of her husband, Fritz, while spending quality time with her long lost pets; her many cats named Peter, strong willed Star, Cashbox the gentleman, sweet Heidi and little lightbulb-headed, Hansi. We, her family still on this earth, will miss her as a mom, a grandma and an animal lover. We know you're having fun up there!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carolina Tiger Rescue, 1940 Hanks Chapel Rd., Pittsboro, NC 27312.
Love, Marlene, Fred, Maureen, Wolfie, Jennifer, Christine, Colleen and Kathleen.
Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel is assisting the Stickel family.
