REIDSVILLE — Hilda Jean Nash Adams, 83, of 512 Lindsey St. Reidsville, N.C. went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Annie Penn Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday August 5, 2012 at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday August 6, 2012 in Reidlawn Cemetery.
A native of Pocataligo, GA, she was a daughter of the late John Gilbert and Rilla Mazelle Freeman Nash and had lived in Reidsville, NC, for the past 52 years . She was the retired secretary of First Baptist Church in Reidsville, NC, where she had worked for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where in the past she served as a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the W MU, the GA's, and the Lightbearers Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Home Demonstration Club in Georgia before moving to NC. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband Henley Hall Adams.
Surviving: her daughters: Karen A. Rose and husband James of Jefferson, GA; Wanda A. Finlen and husband Jeff of Reidsville, NC; and Lori A. Alcorn and husband Richie of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren: Rebecca Rose Parker and husband Cory of Winder, GA; Beth Rose of Charlotte, NC; Adam Finlen and Julie Saxton of Reidsville, NC; Annalisa Finlen and Jamie Page of Reidsville, NC; and Sarah Alcorn of Reidsville, NC; six great grandchildren; and sister: Peggy N. Strickland and husband Joe Paul of Colbert, GA.
The family will see friends 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday August 4, 2012 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence.
