GREENSBORO — Harold Laffette Lineberry, 77, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Harold was born on July 15, 1935 in Randolph County, the son of Benjamin H. and Eula Mae Routh Lineberry. He served his country in the US Army. Harold operated Lineberry Stone and Stucco Company for over 25 years until his retirement. Harold was a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and his four legged companion, "Mackenzie." He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark Douglas Lineberry and brother, Stuart Lineberry. Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Sue Gaither Lineberry; daughter, Connie Lineberry Hastings and husband Gary; daughter-in-law, Wendy L. Pierce and husband Ron; grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pappaw"; Ashley Hastings Simmons and husband Evan, Kelly Hastings, who he called his "buddy", Adam Lineberry, Matthew Lineberry, Luke Pierce, Emily Pierce; brothers, Donald Lineberry and wife Pam, Gary Lineberry and wife Kay, James Lineberry and wife Teen; sisters, Eloise Shives and husband Gene, Joyce Smith, and Ida Lee Brown. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
