GREENSBORO Gregory Gene "Pop" Mullins, Sr., 56, of Greensboro, departed his earthly home to return to his heavenly home to be forever with his Lord and Savior.
A celebration of life service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at South Elm Street Baptist Church, with visitation to follow.
Greg leaves behind his devoted wife of 30 years Anna Marie Robey Mullins; son Gregory Mullins, Jr. and wife Kimberly; granddaughter Makayla; Godchildren Jordan Carter and Madison Nelson, and a devoted prayer partner for over twelve years, Robert Lupo.
Greg was the oldest of seven children Suddie Graves of Culpepper, Va., Donna Williams of Pound, Va., Billy Mullins, Jr. and wife Crystal, Lewis "Buzzy" Mullins and wife Leita, and Kyle Mullins and wife Karen of Bealton, Va. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruby Jane Cantrell and Billy Eugene Mullins, Sr.; sisters Elizabeth Mullins and Tina Crabtree.
Greg was employed with the Koury Corporation. He was a member of South Elm Street Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher in the children ministries, and was very involved with the Missions.
One of Greg's favorite Bible verses was Isaiah 40:31" But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagle; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to South Elm Street Baptist Church c/o Missions Fund or Children Ministries, 4212 S Elm Eugene St, Greensboro, NC 27406.
