GREENSBORO — Grace Myers McPherson, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Hospice of High Point.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 , 11 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. A family visitation will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Grace was born in Wayne County to the late Henry and Lelia Lewis Myers. She was raised and schooled at the Methodist Orphanage of Raleigh. Grace was a faithful member of Calvary - Asbury Methodist Church until its closing. Grace retired from Western Electric, where she worked as a Quality Inspector.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifton , her sister, Becky Gardner, and brother's Noah & Edwin Myers, daughter Janis and grandson James.
Grace is survived by her sister, Margaret Clayton of Seattle , WA , children, Joyce McPherson of Kernersville, Byron & Kenneth McPherson of Greensboro , grandchildren, Felicia & Chris Young, Sabrina Cook, Noah & Mark McPherson and great grandchild, Lucas Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of High Point.
