GREENSBORO — Francis Louis "Butch" Recoulley, Jr., 65, passed away at his residence after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. Entombment will be held immediately afterwards at Oakwood Memorial Park in High Point, NC.

"Butch" was born in Natchitoches, LA on April 17, 1947 to Francis L. Recoulley, Sr. and Margaret C. Recoulley. He was a member of Westover Church and also a member of The Happy Hearts Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. "Butch" loved people and was easy to love in return. He never met a stranger and also was so kind spirited.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis L. Recoulley, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret C. Recoulley of Greensboro. He is also survived by a brother, Monty Recoulley of Wilmington, NC. Other survivors include a niece, Jennifer Koontz, nephew Mark Recoulley and many loving cousins.

The family will receive friends at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street on Thursday, June 21 from 6 until 8 p.m.

It is requested that memorial donations be made in "Butch's" name to Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC, 27410 or to First Baptist Church, Happy Hearts Class, 1000 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC, 27401.
