
MAYODAN Frances C. Coleman, 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Morehead Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Paul Sisk and Jackie Joyce officiating. Interment will follow at Ellisboro Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman was born on March 12, 1922 in Rockingham County to the late Arthur and Rachael Collins Cox. She was a member of Mayodan Moravian Church and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie Joyce and Raymond Coleman; brother, Billy Cox; sisters, Elsie Booth and Katherine Kendricks and step-sister, Gladys White.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Flynt and husband, J.D. of Madison, Ruth Martin and husband, Ronnie of Mayodan and Sarah Fulp and husband, Joel of Stoneville; brothers, Joe Cox of Summerfield and Frankie Cox of Madison; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ruth Martin.
