GREENSBORO — Mr. Floyd Thomas Morton, 61, entered eternal rest on July 31, 2012 at his home in Greensboro, NC. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 5. Floyd is survived by his wife, Corinne Hayes Morton, daughter Kiesha Talea Parker (son-in-law Eric, and grandchildren Kaiya and Xavier) of Charlotte, NC, godson Demetric Woods and goddaughter Nicolette Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, nephew Anthony Johnson; his mother Christine Howard Morton; two sisters Beulah Smith (James) of Durham, NC and Evelyn Faulcon (Harvey) of Kittrell, NC; a brother Howard Morton (Angie) of Henderson, NC; and a godbrother Johnnie Morton of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by many treasured and loved sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives, godchildren, god-grandchildren, and caring friends. Floyd was preceded in death by his father, Judge John Morton, Sr. and brothers Leroy Morton, John Edward Morton and Judge Morton, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, August 4 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at 909 East Market Street in Greensboro, NC 27401. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 5 at the Wright Funeral Home on 3724 Salem Road in Oxford, NC from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. The funeral service will begin promptly at 3 p.m.
