PLEASANT GARDEN — Mr. Eldon Grover Carroll, 98, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Clapp's Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at Centre Friends Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll was born in Sampson County on December 3, 1914. He was a member of Quaker Men at Centre Friends Meeting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessamine Hayes Carroll; parents, James Luther and Louise Tyndall Carroll; two sisters, two brothers, and two half-brothers.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his son, James Eldon Carroll (Gail) of Pleasant Garden; daughter, Mary Lou Jones of Pleasant Garden; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Clapp's Assisted Living for the love and support shown to the family.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, March 16 at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel.
