GREENSBORO — Mr. Elarces "Boo" Jones, 63, departed from this life in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Kary Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Born December 5, 1949, he was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father, Jim Neal Jones; mother, Bessie Mae Jones; and infant brother, Earl Jones.
"Boo" is survived by his daughter, India Jones; brothers, Junior Jones, Franklin Jones, Ertle Jones, and Bennie Bell (Little Jr.), all of Greensboro; and sisters, Mary Hunt, of Lumberton; Martha Stamey, of Charlotte; Joyce Jacobs, of Greensboro; Tessie Lowry, of Stanley; Wilma Hunt, of Dallas, NC; and Edna Kinlaw, of Gibsonville.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service on Friday, March 22, 2013.
During his illness, he resided at the home of his sister Joyce Jacobs, who was his caregiver. The family would like to extend a special heart-felt "Thank You" to the staff of Hospice on Summit Ave.
