CLIMAX — Mr. Edward Lee Smith, 84, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Wesley Long Hospital.
Mr. Smith was born on August 4, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Daniel and Laura Smith. He retired with 37 years of service at Cone Hospital where he was a Purchasing Director. Edward loved to hunt, target shoot and was a member of Pinetop Hunting Club. He was a loving husband, father and a great provider.
Survivors include wife, Jean Gardner Smith; daughter, Lu Tickle (Rick Dolinger); sons, Edward (Sandra), Walter (Griselda), Jimmy, Nick (Dana); brother, Ray Smith; six grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel.
