

SENOIA, GA Edmund Harry "Bud" Cansler, age 65, of Senoia died on July 4, 2012 of complications from Parkinson's and Dementia.
Ed was born on Nov. 2 1946 in Miami, FL a son of the late Robert Rogers Cansler and Ruby Kathleen Thompson Cansler. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James L. "Jimmy" Cansler. Ed was a US Air Force Veteran. While stationed in the Netherlands he met his wife Patricia A. de Wilde, and married there in 1975. He retired from the Air Force in 1990 in South Carolina after 24 years of service. The family then moved to High Point, NC where Ed started a new career at Timco Aviation Services, Inc. as the welding shop supervisor in Greensboro, NC. He retired after 19 years in 2008 at the age of 62 because of health reasons. He then moved to Senoia to be closer to his sister in July of 2009.
In the early years, Ed enjoyed motorcross racing and his BMW motorcycles, and later collected old Tonka Toys. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Cansler; sons, Jason (Carrie), Patrick (Melissa); grandson, Jaylen; brother Robert T. Cansler (Carol), sister-in-law, Elke Cansler; sister, Judith A. Young (Joe).
Visitation and viewing will be Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 11 a.m. until service time with the funeral service to begin at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Senoia City Cemetery.
