EDEN Mr. Curtis Ronald Barnhill, 60, of 806 Friendly Road passed away on Saturday evening, March 9, 2013 at Morehead Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Hall Bluff Church Cemetery in Bladen County, NC.
Curtis was born in Burgaw, NC on October 8, 1952, a son of Homer Curtis and Vivian Brown Barnhill. He was a retired supervisor with the NC Department of Transportation, and attended First Wesleyan Church in Eden. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rhonda Moore Barnhill of the home; his mother, Mrs. Vivian Brown Barnhill of Elizabethtown; his daughters, Valerie Morris and husband, Dean of Bladen County, and Tonya Barnes of Elizabethtown; his son, Bryan Barnes and wife, Lisa of Elizabethtown; his sisters, Sharon Guyton and husband, David of Elizabethtown, and Rose Vernon and husband, David, of Currie, NC; his brother, Randy Barnhill of Elizabethtown; and his grandchildren, Allison Morris, MacKenzie Morris, Emily Barnes, Olivia Barnes, Lee Barnes, and Chelsea Lesane. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Curtis Barnhill.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the First Wesleyan Church on Church Street in Eden, and at other times at the home of John Moore, 613 Franklin Drive in Eden.
