STONEVILLE — Clyde Wayne Brown, 75, went home to be with his loving wife, Betty, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Clyde's Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Stoneville City Cemetery.
A Stokes County native, Clyde was born October 14, 1937, the son of, Edgar and Lopha Joyce Brown. Clyde was a 1956 graduate of Stoneville High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Clyde retired from DuPont with over 30 years of service and was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Betty June Woods Brown; grandson, Luke Brown; brother, Cyril Brown; two sisters, Doris Gann and Mary Lou Brown.
Clyde is survived by his son, Darrin Brown and wife, Jessica of Stoneville; brother, Dewey Brown and wife, Patricia of Sacramento, CA; two sisters, Margaret Conway of Stoneville and Mildred Cross of Eden; grandson, Nicholas Brown and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home and other times at the home of Darrin and Jessica Brown.
