GREENSBORO — Claude Harold "Hod" Shankle, died on November 30, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Celia Pickens Shankle; daughters Susan Shankle, Libba Genova, her husband Jim, Claudia Hufham; grandchildren Chad and Chris Clever, Kaylan and Keegan Hufham.

Claude was born November 15, 1920, in Albemarle, NC. He served in the Navy during World War II, and attended Duke University.

He was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and the Ecumenical Barbershop Quartet.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 5 at 1 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church.
