THOMASVILLE — Christopher "Chris" Todd Bowman, 45, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home in Thomasville. He was the loving husband of Dalena Bowman. The couple married on August 23, 2000.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Pastor Randy Quate officiating. A visitation will be on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting Cemetery following the service.
Chris was born on August 5, 1966 in Thomasville. He was the son of Charles and Carol (Kennedy) Bowman. Chris was employed with Aetna Insurance Co. Chris and his wife Dalena had formerly attended Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting in Trinity.
Chris was a fun, adventuresome man who loved the outdoors and the beach. He enjoyed activities such as hiking, boating, scuba diving and working out at the gym. He was an extremely organized person who liked to listen to music and loved animals. Most of all, Chris loved his family who was very important to him.
In addition to his wife and parents Chris is is survived by two daughters, Megan C. Paden and husband Brian of Mint Hill and Jacquelyn Blue of Thomasville; two sons, Jeromy T. Coates of Summerville and Carlos Torres and wife Jessica of High Point; a brother, Michael Scott Bowman of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Kailey Paden, Issak Coates-Tate and Selena and Annabelle Torres.
