STONEVILLE — On February 5, 2013, the angels came and carried Christian Tyler Vernon (Furstenberg), 14, home to be a special angel in Heaven.
Christian's Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at Ray Funeral home in Madison. Interment will follow at Glenn's Chapel Cemetery.
Christian was born Christmas Eve, December 24, 1998 to Amanda Elizabeth Vernon. He was of the Baptist faith.
Christian left behind his family and friends who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his mother, Amanda Elizabeth Vernon of the home; his brother, Landon Woods of the home; grandparents, Steve and Cindy Vernon of Stoneville; aunt, Amy Landreth and husband, Tim of Stoneville; cousins, Carlie Landreth and Kayla Hazelwood.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home and other times at the home of his grandparents, Steve and Cindy Vernon. Online condolences may be offered at www.rayfuneralhome.com
Christian had been sick all of his life but he was a true fighter, a true little soldier and a hero to some. He may not been able to tell, but you could see the love in his big blue eyes.
The Vernon family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses from Bayada Home Health, Northwest Volunteer Fire Department, the paramedics and EMTs and the nurses and staff at Brenner Children's Hospital who have been a part of Christian's life from the very beginning.
