GREENSBORO — Mr. Charlie Fletcher Burkes, Jr. died Saturday May 1, 2011 at Moses H. Cone Hospital.
Funeral Service for Mr. Burkes will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Peace United Methodist Church, 2315 Scalesville Rd. Summerfield, NC. Final disposition will take place in the church cemetery.
Mr. Burkes was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Josephine Moore Burkes; sister, Mary Lizzie Burkes and sons; Charles Anthony Burkes and Ricky Lawrence Burkes.
Left to cherish his memories are wife, Donna Levett Burkes; children, Donald R. Burkes (Pamela), David L. Burkes (Katherine), Howard L. Burkes (Katina), Mark A. Burkes (Angela), Donna Curtis, Denise Brawley and Trya White; stepchildren, Christopher Levett, Kevin Epps and Tameka Beasley, all of Greensboro, NC; Father, Charlie Burkes, Sr. and brother, Robert Burkes both of Summerfield, NC, 35 grand children and 15 great grand children.
Family visitation will be 11 a.m. at the church.
