PLEASANT GARDEN— Mr. Cecil Eugene Coltrane, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Clapp's Nursing Center with his loving family around him.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 2 at Centre Friends Meeting Cemetery, 325 NC Highway 62 East, Greensboro.

Cecil was born June 11, 1926 to the late Branson Eugene and Tula Fentress Coltrane. He served in the US Army during the Korea "Police Action". He was retired from Butler Trailer Manufacturing Co., Randleman. Cecil had a great love for horses. All during his life he had American Saddle-Bred horses around him and enjoyed riding with his many friends. He won many ribbons for showing these horses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy, Lacy, and sister, Irene Coltrane.

Cecil is survived by his sister, Ethel Whitaker (Donald) and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you for the wonderful care that Cecil and his family received during his stay at Clapp's Nursing Center.

The family will receive friends following the service.
