JULIAN — Mr. Casey Lee Straughan, 19, of 2901 Mt. Hope Church Rd., Julian, NC. Our angel got his wings on Saturday, December 1, 2012, in Guilford County.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Timothy and Angela Straughan. He was employed by Marion Express. Casey was a member of Mt. Hope Fire Department, a former Boy Scout and Lacrosse player.
Surviving, other than his parents of the home, are a sister, Brittany Straughan, of the home, maternal grandmother, Priscilla Greeson Lowe of Julian; aunts and uncles, Kimberly & Wayne Hamby, Michael Lowe, Johnny Allen Lowe, Jr. and Gayle, Melinda & Darryl Agnew, Patti Lee and Ricky Straughan.
Casey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny Allen Lowe, Sr. and Jack & Peggy Straughan.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Mt. Hope Fire Department and the community for their help and support.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, at Brick Reformed Church with the Rev. Kristin Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral & Cremation Service in Burlington from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday evening and other times at the residence.
