CHARLOTTE — Carol Anne Thompson Martinez Alberts, age 75, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday March 12, 2013, at White Oak Manor Charlotte.

Mrs. Alberts was born December 8, 1937 in Greensboro, NC and was the daughter of the late William Arthur Thompson, Jr. and Goldie Mae York Thompson. Her late husband William Alberts preceded her in death as well as her sister Nancy Jo Thompson Fulp Baber of Greensboro, NC. She was previously married to Thomas Edgar Martinez who lives in Belews Creek, NC.

Surviving Mrs. Alberts is her daughter Arla Mae Waters of Harrison, TN; Thomas Edgar Martinez, Jr. of Durham, NC; William Carey Martinez of Miami, FL; her brother Jim W. W. Thompson of Charlotte, NC; a niece Tina Ann Davis of Central, SC and a nephew Jimmie Eugene Fulp of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Alberts had 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Alberts was known for her fastidious and meticulous manner when she worked as a legal secretary for Attorney Daniel Raab in Miami and Coral Gables, FL. Mrs. Alberts also previously worked for the University of Miami.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Mar. 16, 2013 at 11 AM at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407 with Rev. Joel Locklear of Glenwood United Methodist Church officiating.

The family has suggested donations be made to the Carolina Chapter. An Everlasting Memorial is located at
