WINSTON-SALEM — Caleb Jayden Land was granted his angel wings on July 1, 2012.

His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Caleb had touched in some way throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Caleb's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His bright and joyful smile lit up every room he entered. His very existence brought joy to our family. He was strong, athletic, daring, brave, a bundle of fun, and full of life. He loved to play baseball, ride his dirt bike, and swim. He could spend hours outside. He enjoyed listening to music and watching movies.

Caleb is survived by his mother, Amanda Baumbach and stepfather, Brandon Hagie of Winston Salem, maternal grandmother Patricia Baumbach of Winston Salem; paternal grandparents Terry and Tammie Land of Kernersville, NC and Debbie Land of Oklahoma; Rebecca and Kevin Rybak and their son Jordan, David "Pawpaw Da Da" Hagie, Kim Childress, Terry and Libby "Be Be" Lockamy, Beth and Travis Holloman and their sons Jaxon and Noah, and many others who loved him very much.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday June 6, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Caleb to: Clemmons United Methodist Preschool 3700 Clemmons Road (Hwy. 158) PO Box 829 Clemmons, NC 27012 336-766-6375.
