
GREENSBORO - Brenda Sessoms "Moore" White, 68, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. White was born on April 28, 1944 in Sampson County, NC, a daughter of the late Vernon Lyles, Sr., Nancy Irene (Coltrane) Moore. She was a graduate of Alamance School of Cosmetic Art in 1976 and along with her sister, started her own beauty salon, Mane Street and Company for over 33 years, after which she worked for Hair Kutts, High Point for two years.
In addition to owning an operating her own business, Mrs. White enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, dancing and listening to beach music.
She loved attending Green Street Baptist Church where she sang in their choir, and participated in many events.
Mrs. White is survived by a daughter, Heather Renae White of High Point; three sisters, Nancy S. Lovett and husband, Edward of Stokesdale, M. Anne Sessoms of High Point, and Gwen S. McSwain and husband Lloyd of High Point; a brother, Joey Moore and his wife, Jan of High Point; three nieces, Kelly Hones, Malea Dalton, and Kristin Coberley; and a nephew, Jai Williams. She was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon "Bud" Moore, Jr.
A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Green Street Baptist Church, Ste 620, 1701 Westchester Drive, High Point with the Rev. Mark Loy officiating. Burial will follow in Gibsonville Town Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point.
