GREENSBORO - Mrs. Blossom H. Tynes, 86, passed Friday evening March 1, 2013 at Maple Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Blossom was born in Sumter, SC to the late Benjamin and Ethel Hodge.

Services will be held starting at 10:30 am on March 8th, 2013, at Providence Baptist Church, 1106 Tuscaloosa Street, Greensboro, NC 27406. Interment will follow at Maple Wood Cemetery.

Blossom graduated from Atkins High School, Winston-Salem, NC and continued her education at Barbara Scotia College, Concord, NC. She completed her education at North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC with a BS in Early Childhood Education.

Blossom ended her career with the Guilford County School System. She was an Administrative Assistant at Burlington Industries, Greensboro, NC and Maser Safe Company, New York, New York. Blossom enjoyed designing hats, oil painting and volunteering her time in service to the community and her church.

Left to cherish Blossom's memories are her Husband Dr. Victor H. Tynes, Sr., daughter Brenda M. Grinage (Berchman, Sr.), Charlotte, NC, Step-sons Victor H. Tynes, Jr. (Judy) Arlington, VA, Myron Kevan Sr., Arizona, grandchildren, Winston III, Berchman Jr., C, Michael, Cyprion, Ruth H. Tynes, Myron K. Tynes, Jr., Great Grandchildren Jada, Winston IV, Chi, Vianne, Tahlia, One Brother Isaiah Hodge and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Grand Nieces, Grand Nephews, other Family and Friends.
