GREENSBORO — Mrs. Betty L. Patteson, 81, of Greensboro, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Southeast Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Phelps officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Patteson was a native of Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of Joseph Walter and Bessie Helton Lester. She was a member of Southeast Baptist Church and the Bykota Sunday School Class. She worked as a proofreader for the John H. Harland Company. Mrs. Patteson loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years, Clayton Leroy Patteson.
Mrs. Patteson is survived by her daughter, Carolyn P. Grubbs (Harry) of Climax, sons, Clayton R. Patteson (Deana) of Julian, Charles W. Patteson (Dawn) of Ruffin, sisters, Leola Dawson of Kingsport, TN, Mildred Cregger of Bluefield, W. VA, grandchildren; Leigh Ann Ridge of Pleasant Garden, Kristen Pooley (Chris) of Durham, Matthew Grubbs (Laura) of Franklinville, Justin Patteson of Atlanta, GA, Nora Mallet (Aaron) of Greensboro, Brittany Morrison (Ben) all of Greensboro, Drew Patteson of Pleasant Garden, and great-grandchildren; Audrey, Dennis III and Abigail Ridge, Will and SarahBeth Grubbs, Hannah Pooley, Jodee and Bryan Morrison and Hezekiah Mallet.
