GIBSONVILLE - Benny Sutton Cobb, 70, of 6507 Frieden Church Rd. Gibsonville, NC died Thursday December 6, 2012 at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday December 12, 2012 in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery 361 Mount Carmel Church Rd. Reidsville, NC.

A native of Guilford County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Guy and Mary Sutton Cobb and had lived in Guilford County most of his life. He was a retired machine operator at Carolina Gasket and Rubber Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. A member of First Baptist Church in Gibsonville, NC, he was preceded in death by his sister Bette Cobb Furr.

Surviving: wife: Fondra Harden Cobb of the home; son: Chad Harden Cobb of High Point, NC; father-in-law: Paul Harden of Reidsville, NC; brother-in-law: Paul Harden, Jr. and wife Judy of Eden, NC; nephews: Kim Carlton, Kelley Carlton, and Guy Carlton.

Memorials may be made to the Reidsville Salvation Army 704 Barnes St. Reidsville, N.C. 27320 or to V.F.W Post 2972 432 Boonwood Timbergate Dr. Gibsonville, NC 27219.

The family will see friends 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Citty Funeral Home Reidsville, NC.
