Mrs. Marlow worked as a bookkeeper for Jones-Lewis Furniture Co. where she met her husband, Lee, whom she was married to for 58 years. She worked for Wilber Music Co. and Nationwide and Amos Ins. Co. She retired from Hanes-Linebery Funeral Home in 1997.
Barbara loved going to their Florida home and mountain cabin with their canine companions.
She loved cooking, sewing, baking, and decorating cakes. She made her twin daughters' five foot wedding cakes. She was famous for her homemade lemonade. Barbara was a fantastic artist and has many paintings hanging at churches today. Her grandchildren remember the famous Grandmama Annual Easter Egg Hunts. They were always mystified at where Grandmama would hide the prize egg! The egg hunts went on long after the grandkids grew up. She will be missed by each loving family member. She was a "praying mother" and left us with strong moral principles and Christian faith.

Surviving are her son, Donald Marlow and wife, Anne, twin daughters; Jill Ballance and Gail Anderson and husband, Neil.
