GREENSBORO — Mrs. Barbara Lee Carter Mitchell, 80, passed away Friday.
She was born to the late Don and Adelaide Carter on June 25, 1932. Barbara graduated from Sumner High School in 1950. Barbara along with her husband, Billy Eugene Mitchell were among the founding members of the Gate City Motorcycle Club of Greensboro. They were avid riders for many years.
Barbara's love for kitty cats was well known. It dates back to the age of six, where she was sneaking kitties in their apartment building in Detroit, Michigan where they were not permitted.
Barbara is survived by her son, Michael Lee Mitchell, daughter in law, Wendy Patterson, granddaughter, Kristan Patterson and her beloved kitty "Sir Winston".
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
There will be no funeral or memorial services.
