GREENSBORO — Barbara Jean Agnew, 85, died Friday January 7, 2010 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. She was born in on January 5, 1926 in Benton Ridge, Ohio a daughter of Carl J. Bunn, Sr. and Esther Olive Harris. Ms. Agnew graduated from Liberty Benton High School and later attended Tiffin University. She worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. She was a loving mother and homemaker. In addition she worked in the business office at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio and later in hospital business offices while she lived in Belleair Beach, Florida. She relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1990. As a hobby, she enjoyed knitting hats for the homeless of which she donated over 300.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carl Bunn, Jr., Myron Bunn and Barton Bunn.
Surviving are her son, Douglas Agnew of Greensboro; her daughter, Jane Domer of Trinity and a grandson, Stephen Domer, Esq. of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407 conducted by the Reverend Michael Moran. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time.
