LUMBERTON Anne Timberlake Sapp, 86, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Lumberton, NC, died on March 13, 2013.
She was born in Durham, NC, to the late W. Carr and Mildred Elizabeth Timberlake.
She was a graduate of Durham High School in 1944 and attended Salem College in Winston Salem, NC, Greensboro College, Greensboro, NC and received an Education Degree at Pembroke State University. She had a combined total of twenty years as a teacher with Bladen County, and then a librarian with the Lumberton City Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lumberton, NC, and volunteered her time in the church library. She loved to read, play bridge, and try new recipes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Sapp and son, David W. Sapp.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice and Elizabeth Sapp of Greensboro, NC; two grandsons, Kevin C. Sapp of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and Ethan M. Sapp of Wilmington, NC; and two brothers, Dr. Robert Timberlake and W. Carr Timberlake, Jr., both of Winston Salem, NC.
An entombment will be held at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum in Lumberton, NC, on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m., with Dr. Ralph Richardson officiating.
A time of visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
