
GREENSBORO Adela "Adele" Helen Miller, 92 years old, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Adele was one of three children born to polish immigrants, Viola and Frank Waszkiewicz on May 29, 1920 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Her family relocated to Jersey City, NJ when she was 6 years old. She married the late Thomas George Miller in 1939 and together they had 4 children. In 1990 she and Tom relocated to Greensboro, NC. Adele was preceded in death by her brother Charles Frank Waszkiewitz and her son Robert Charles Miller. Survivors include her son Thomas Francis Miller and wife Nancy; daughters Carol Ann Ivacic, Barbara Ann Graham and husband David; daughter in-law Barbara Miller; brother Raymond Waszkiewicz and wife Helen; grandchildren Robin DiTocco and husband Dean, Kerry Bouteloupt and husband Marty, David Graham and wife April, Jeanine Jansen and husband Joost, Kristine Hahn and husband Cary, Dawn Bowman and husband James, Scott Graham; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Adele was adored by many for her loving and welcoming presence. She loved to cook especially Polish and eastern European delicacies. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Arrangements are being handled by Woodard Funeral Home, 3200 North O'Henry Blvd, Greensboro. Visitation will be Friday December 28 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday December 29, 11 a.m. at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 High Point Road.
