DANBURY — Rev. Marcus Theodore Sizemore, 80, resident of Danbury, went to be with his Lord on November 2, 2012.

Rev. Sizemore was born June 11, 1932 in Kentucky. He spent his entire life ministering to others through teaching and serving. He pastored for many years, serving in various staff positions. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War. Preceding him in death is his loving wife, Sue Thomas Sizemore, his oldest daughter, Jackie Sue Lewis, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by a daughter, Melody Cox and husband Alan of Danbury; two sons, Jim Sizemore and partner Dan Conte of Gibsonville and Marc Sizemore and wife Melissa of Atlanta; two sisters, Dollie and Dorothy; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Affectionately known as "Poppy", he was loved by many close and treasured friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Morganton, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405. Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point is assisting the family.
