GREENSBORO — With deep sorrow, we announce the death Jimmie Lee Collins. Jimmie was born to the late Jimmie Grant & Hattie D. Collins July 12, 1939 in Seaboard, NC. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris Faye Collins and his children, Robin C. McLean, Glenn Collins, Princess Phillips (Raymond), Jimmy Walden and Darryl Booker (Angela), 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; Four sisters; Irene Collins, Thelma Collins Fewell, Hattie Fewell (Bobby) and Nannie Gwynn (Curtis) one uncle, one aunt and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was retired from the US Postal Service and was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for over 35 years. He was also a veteran of the Air Force.

Funeral service will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. Family visitation will be 11 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
