PINEHURST — George Herbert Fahy, 80, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at Manor Care in Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro.

Mr. Fahy was born July 20, 1932 in Washington, D.C. to Sophie Kathryn Oberndoerfer and Francis Landgraf Fahy. He graduated from George Washington University with a law degree. He also served his country in the Korean War. He and his wife, Mary, retired to Pinehurst from Vienna, VA.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Mary Jeanette Hudson Fahy, and brother Frank Fahy.
